Here, you’ll find yourself immersed in nearly 7,000 acres of scenic coastline, featuring not only the illustrious Teeth of the Dog course but also three other remarkable tracks, led by the hilly Dye Fore.<\/p>\n

A Spectacular Experience:<\/h3>\n

From the moment you step foot on the course, you’ll be captivated by its charm. The name itself evokes visions of awe-inspiring entryways lined with theme park-style big dogs, accompanied by the dramatic soundtrack of \u00abDarth Vader’s Theme.\u00bb At the laid-back golf shop, you’ll find hats proudly displaying \u00abTEETH\u00bb or \u00abDIENTE,\u00bb providing a taste of the adventure that lies ahead. As you approach the course, the mirage of seven holes set against the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea will take your breath away.<\/p>\n

Teeth of the Dog was masterfully crafted by the esteemed architect, Pete Dye. The course showcases Dye’s signature style<\/a>, requiring a wide range of shots as you navigate the clockwise front-nine and counterclockwise back-nine routing. Notably, the signature par-3 5th hole stands out, with its tee jutting into the water and a green protected by rocks just off the left fringe.<\/p>\n

Dye was coaxed to visit the Dominican Republic in the late 1960s, where he discovered the desert-like seaside land. Despite the poor soil quality and rocky terrain, Dye transformed this challenging landscape into a marketing dream. The local workers aptly named the coral formations \u00abDiente del perro\u00bb (teeth of the dog in Spanish), providing the perfect description and handle.<\/p>\n
